What is Thermal Monitoring?

Thermal monitoring solutions use video analytics, artificial intelligence (AI), and IoT devices to detect individuals with elevated temperature (i.e., 100°F+). This removes the need for handheld temperature measuring devices. These solutions are an entirely non-invasive way to check a person’s body temperature before allowing entry into a building or other public area.   2. Individuals can maintain safe social distancing – The solution uses video cameras to monitor from up to 10 feet away from the individual being screened, meeting social distancing guidelines.
  3. Can keep up with a large volume of people – Equipment monitors up to 300 people per minute.
  4. Detects temperatures through masks – Face coverings can still be worn by individuals to improve protection. Thermal monitoring equipment uses AI facial detection and visual analytics to track an individual’s facial area – even if they’re wearing a mask or hat.
  5. Out of range temperatures alarm – If the machine detects out-of-range temperatures in the coverage area, it sounds an alert in 0.5 seconds.
